2020 Worst year for tourism since records began
According to UNWTO, 2020 was the worst year for global tourism since records began. Arrivals had fallen by 74%, compared with only 4% during the global economic crisis.
Boeing reports loss of US$11.9 billion
Boeing reported a net loss of $11.9 billion for the fiscal year 2020. GAAP loss per share is $20.88. Boeing sales were $58.1 billion, down 24% from the fiscal year 2019.
Covid-19 pandemic leaves half of pilots grounded
More than half of pilots are grounded due to the travel slump. According to the first global survey since the Corona crisis by the Goose agency and aviation publisher FlightGlobal, 30% of all pilots are unemployed and 15% are on leave.
The Hoxton Hotel Rome Opens In Spring
The tenth hotel of the brand, the Hoxton Hotel in Rome is about to open in spring. This was already planned for the end of 2020, but due to Corona, the date had to be postponed. Through the new hotel, the brand hopes to recover from the difficult year.
