Germany eases restrictions on travel from some European countries

Germany has eased restrictions and exempted more European countries from stringent entry. This is because several countries in the EU have had a decrease in the number of Covid-19 cases detected in recent weeks. New countries removed from the high-risk list include: Turkey, Sweden, Norway and Lithuania. Other countries joining the low-risk list are Italy and Czech Republic. Uruguay, on the other hand, has been added to the list of areas where a worrying virus variant has been detected.
