Germany eases travel restrictions on many countries 

Germany no longer classifies the United States, Canada and Austria and several other countries as high risk countries. Travelers entering Germany by plane must provide a negative test result, proof of vaccination or proof of recovery before their departure. Also, Germany’s foreign minister announced that most remaining countries would be taken off of Germany's travel risk list by July 1.

Germans are looking forward to summer travels

Germans are in the midst of holiday fever as there has been a 42% decrease in the incident rate. Also, there has been a considerable improvement week on week since May, as the country’s vaccine campaign has slowly started to pick up pace.

More businesses take a stance on sustainability

More businesses are now focusing on sustainability and decarbonization of their travel program as climate change has become cause of concern alongside the pandemic. 

G-7 leaders pledge for vaccine support for poorer countries

G-7 leaders pledge over 1 billion coronavirus vaccine doses for poorer nations. The donation would be both a direct transfer of vaccine doses and funding towards making the vaccine available.
