Fully vaccinated British passengers no longer need to quarantine for 10 days when arriving from “amber list” countries

British vaccinated travelers head off to holiday in Europe with the easing of quarantine rules in the U.K. The main change for British passengers who have been fully vaccinated by the NHS is that they no longer need to be quarantined for 10 days when arriving from “amber list” countries – such as Spain, Italy, Greece and the US.

 

Canada introduces a travel ban on India

Since April of 2021, Canada has introduced a travel ban on India due to concerns about rising cases of COVID-19 variants. All passenger and business flights from India were suspended. The ban was initially in place for 30 days but it has now been extended until the end of August.

The UK travel industry criticizes the government's strict quarantine rules

The UK travel industry has for months criticized the government's strict quarantine rules and last-minute changes which have resulted in a roller-coaster of booking surges followed by mass cancellations. Last week the government confirmed that it was not easing coronavirus rules for fully-vaccinated UK travelers who arrive in England from France. This travel rule change hits shares in airlines. Carriers including EasyJet and British Airway are losing as much as 6% after this surprising shift in requirements for arrivals from France.
