United Airlines plans to fly 80 percent of the United States scheduled in July

United Airlines, which is a major American airline plan to fly 80 percent of its United States schedule in July when compared to the same month of 2019. At the same time, the carrier said bookings for summer travel are up 214 percent compared to 2020. Internationally, United Airlines is giving travelers the option to visit Europe from New York more frequently by adding an additional weekly flight to Croatia and operating a larger aircraft to Athens.

Ryanair reported a loss of €815 million in 2020

Ryanair has recently reported a loss of €815 million in 2020 when compared to a profit of €1 Billion in 2019. The number of passengers that the airline carried last year was down to 81%, so from 149 Million in 2019 to only 27.5 Million in 2020. 

Portugal opens its borders for travelers today

Portugal has today opened its borders for travelers from Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland. As well as for tourists from the United Kingdom. However, Non-essential travel from EU countries where the incidence rate is above 500 cases per 100,000 residents during the last 14 days will remain restricted to essential trips.

NBTC is in talks to create a travel bubble between the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany

The Netherlands’ Board of Tourism and Conventions (NBTC) is in talks to create a travel bubble between the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. This will facilitate easy travel among these three territories if the introduction of COVID-19 vaccination passports is delayed.
