Princess Cruise cancels summer sailing

The cruise company owned by Carnival has canceled all summer sailings for this summer for cruise ships leaving the UK harbors. Another year looking increasingly bleak for the cruise companies around the world as P&O has also canceled their international summer season. 

Madeira wants to open to vaccinated tourists 

The island, hit by the COVID mutation, had restricted most international arrivals. However, government officials now want to work on a plan to open up for vaccinated travelers

Air New Zealand to trial vaccine passport

The airline has decided to trial its vaccination passport on its flights to Sydney and back. The app ‘Travel Pass’ wants to streamline the health verification process in the hopes to boost international travel. 

German travel industry expects great slump in revenue for 2021

Industry officials do not expect tourism to restart before May and are predicting that revenues will be 50% of those in 2019, at the very best.
