Air Canada was to acquire Air Transat in June of 2019. However, after a lot of back and forth and also owing to the severe economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, it has now decided not to acquire Air Transat. Also, mainly because Air Canada has come to a realization that the European Union would not approve the acquisition. 

Qatar Air claims its first fully vaccinated flight

Qatar Air claims that it has operated its first fully vaccinated flight. The flight carried a fully vaccinated crew and passengers. Also, the ground staff serving the passengers were fully vaccinated. This special flight which will return back to Doha showcases all measures the airline has put to ensure the highest safety and hygiene on board.

Vietnamese expats have been grounded in Germany

Owing to the travel rules in Germany, Vietnamese expats have unfortunately been grounded in Germany.  The sky-high airfare and strict quarantine measures are making the journey from Germany to Vietnam too complicated and expensive. 

 New Zealand and Australia in talks to allow quarantine free travel

Earlier, we had mentioned that New Zealand and Australia were in talks to allow quarantine-free travel. Now, this has been confirmed and the quarantine-free travel is scheduled to start on April 19th. This bubble will lead to an economic boost and represents a world-leading arrangement of safely opening up international travel while continuing to pursue a strategy of elimination and keeping the virus out.
