Wizz Air confirms new base in Rome
Wizz Air has confirmed it will open a new base in Rome, offering 32 new services to 19 countries. The opening of this new base in Rome will bring more economic growth to the region, and will also create over 100 new direct jobs with the airline and over 1,500 jobs in associated industries.
Portugal and the Netherlands eases restrictions
Two more European countries announced that they would ease their restrictions in the next few days. Portugal and the Netherlands are two of Europe’s most popular travel destinations.
Germany changes rules for vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers
Germany has now changed the rules for vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers. The German government has now agreed to allow people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to skip testing and quarantine when entering the country. The rules will also apply to people who have fully recovered from the virus. It must be pointed out, however, that the rules will not apply to travelers arriving from countries deemed “high risk” due to high case counts of COVID-19 infections or from areas where COVID-19 variants remain particularly concerning.
FCM expects a significant rebound in its global corporate travel business
FCM, one of the world’s largest travel management companies, expects a significant rebound in its global corporate travel business by year-end as activity increases. The company, which operates in more than 95 countries, believes sales will continue to increase globally.
