Germany sees lowest number of travelers since reunification

The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) has recorded the lowest number of travelers to have flown from or landed at the largest 24 airports in Germany since 1991. The figures show that the number of passengers in 2020 fell by 74,5 percent compared to the previous year.

Young generations want to travel again

The results of a recent survey showed that 63 percent of millennials and Gen-Z travelers want to travel in 2021. Fifty-eight percent would travel right now even if it meant having to pay for quarantine when they return home, and 71 percent would take the Covid-19 vaccine just to be able to get on a plane.

International travel had the biggest impact on Covid death rates 

A study has found, international travel impacted Covid death rates the most in the pandemic’s first wave. The survey found that early restrictions on international travel could have made a difference in the spread.
