South Africa is now opening its borders to travelers from all over the world. The requirement for entry is a negative COVID-19 test that is not older than 72 hours.

Qatar Airways resumed and increased flights again. They announced new destinations in the next few weeks such as Luanda, Angola and San Francisco.

They will offer flights twice a week to Miami and Algiers, nine flights to Chicago and nine flights to New York. Flights to Kyiv, Phuket, Seychelles, Warsaw will also be increased.

Austria has decided on going for a strict lockdown. From 17.11. all stores have to be closed and the curfew is extended to 24 hours.

Australia will most likely not open its borders to European travels until at least mid of 2021. The travel industry is therefore more dependent than ever on travelers in their own country and the state aid.

To attract tourists also during Christmas and wintertime, Madeira has launched a campaign which is called: Madeira – It’s time for a different Christmas. The island hopes to convince people with this campaign to spend their New Years Eve on the island as well.

Singapore has long had a reputation as one of the world’s cleanest cities. It’s now raising standards again due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That include robot cleaners, contactless kiosks with proximity sensors instead of touchscreens, biometric faces and iris recognition. Robots in the terminals spray disinfectant mist, hotel guests get care packs with sanitizer and masks, most famous attractions are completely contact free (apps with ticketing infos,pre book time slot) Food corners have QR codes now, automatic hand sanitizer and distanced seating. Singapore is praised for its swift coronavirus responses.
